'Roided up Olympic beer is made with substances banned for athletes
7/27/2012If you were an Olympic athlete, you might, at some point, want to wind down with a beer. In that case, avoid the cheeky, Olympics-inspired concoction from Scottish brewery BrewDog. The company’s limited-edition “Never Mind Anabolics” brew is an IPA made with substances banned for athletes, including “creatine, guarana, lycii berries, kola nut, Gingko, matcha tea, maca powder and steroids.” Yes, steroids. Apparently only the first batch (not made available to the public) contained ‘roids. The company’s co-founder said the beer is not as “absurd and obnoxious as the tenuous sponsorship deals from fast food chains and global mega breweries that seem to define the people’s games.” [Source]
