Looks like we just discovered the Twitter equivalent of flailing the arms to keep from falling off the balance beam. Gold medal gymnast Aly Raisman was one nervous teenager ("Omg") when she tweeted that she (and possibly the rest of the Fierce Five) was headed out to a club with the U.S. guys’ gymnastics team, because she sent the message out to her 380,000-plus followers instead of making it private. Fearing either a rash of paparazzi or being grounded, Raisman quickly deleted that tweet and replaced it with some too-late misdirection: "So excited to go to sleep early tonight :)" Nice try, kid. Like recoveries on the beam, Internet cover-ups earn you automatic deductions. [Source]
