One broken traffic light caused monster Beijing traffic jam

​Everyone likes to complain about the traffic in their area, but ask yourself this: If one measly traffic light broke down at an intersection in your hometown, would it result in the miles-long nightmare that is this Beijing muck-up? Chinese blogger Beijing Cream went on an epic and existential rant about the situation, calling the situation "my every nightmare about the city" before ending with, "the abyss stares back, indeed." Dramatic stuff, but picturing ourselves stuck in that morass, it may actually be an understatement.
