One-eyed robot moves like a human and freaks people out
4/3/2012An enterprising scientist in the U.K. has built a cool-but-freaky robot that replicates the anatomical detail of humans, right down to the skeleton. Professor Owen Holland's creation mimics human movement using its own joints, bones, muscles and tendons -- it can even shake hands! Professor Owen Holland told the BBC his droid "gives people the sensation of interacting with something that is really like themselves"... well, except for the giant eye peering out from its robot head. Despite its futuristically frightful looks, the creepy Cyclops doesn't lack admirers on Twitter, although @ManchesterM1ke nervously asks, "One step closer to Terminator and Rise of the machines??"
