The brilliant thing about the Onion is that once they've made fun of you, there's nothing you can do. If you say nothing, then you're just getting mocked, but if you fight back, you're the idiot arguing with a fake newspaper. Just look at Mobile, Ala., marketing firm Red Square, which took offense at an Onion article titled, "PR firm advises U.S. to cut ties with Alabama." Red Square was so offended to see the state's name dragged through the mud that it shot back at the Onion, calling it a "decades old joke" and "unoriginal." No offense, Red Square, but it doesn't make Alabama look any better when you say that they've been the butt of America's jokes for a long, long time. [Source]
