Oprah tops Forbes' sort of surprising highest-paid celeb list

Just because she quit hosting her daytime talk show last year doesn’t mean Oprah Winfrey’s not still rolling in it. For the fourth year running, the Harpo productions head honcho has landed at the tippy-top of Forbes’ list of highest-paid celebrities, having raked in $165 million between May 2011 and May 2012. Oprah just edged out “Transformers” director Michael Bay, who collected $160 million, thanks to a deal that gives him a chunk of movie profits and toy sales. The top-10 celeb Forbes’ editors found “most surprising,” however, was fifth-place finisher Dr. Dre, who took in $110 million, just behind Steven Spielberg (third) and Jerry Bruckheimer (fourth), partly due to his namesake headphones.
