Oscars 'In Memoriam' snubs Griffith, others as not memorable enough
2/25/2013On the morning after the Oscars, there are always plenty of unanswered questions. Why was Jennifer Aniston there? Why won't Christoph Waltz call us back? But the most important one is always, "Why did they forget some legendary stars during the 'In Memoriam' segment?" Although the Oscars did recognize the losses of Ernest Borgnine, Michael Clark Duncan and Beastie Boy-turned-film producer Adam Yauch, they noticeably forgot Andy Griffith, Larry Hagman and Phyllis Diller, among others. Those stars — and others — were reportedly omitted "due to time constraints." Seriously? That show was, like, 29 hours long! They couldn't have tacked on an extra 30 seconds to pay their respects?
