Teen fights online bullying by lavishing Tweeps with love
8/17/2012Kevin Curwick has taken the term 'Minnesota Nice' to a new level. When the Osseo High School student saw classmates being bullied online, he started a Twitter tag called @OsseoNiceThings and used it to deliver much-needed compliments to kids being harassed. He'd say things like "great artist but even better friend" or "Osseo's rawest rapper." The 17-year-old remained anonymous in his positivity campaign until a news station got a hold of him and he came forward. Since then, the concept has gone viral and “Nice” tags have sprung up nationwide. Could be that a dose of Midwestern niceness is just what the country needs.[Source]
