Outraged fans save Elvis' crypt from the auction block
6/25/2012Elvis fans have used their considerable sway to keep the King of Rock's crypt off the auction block. The Forest Hills Cemetery crypt in Memphis was announced as going on auction in May but outraged fans demanded it be kept as a shrine to his memory. Obviously, the crypt is empty, because Presley is still very much alive, as multiple of sightings of Presley and the existence of The Elvis Is Alive Museum confirm. Wait, that's wishful thinking -- apologies, the crypt is empty because Presley was originally buried there alongside his mother in the crypt in 1977, then they transferred to where they currently rest, at Graceland, and the original crypt has remained (and apparently will remain) empty ever since.
If you bought Elvis' crypt, what would you do with it?
