Over-animated synchronized swimmer immortalized as nightmare

If, while watching the coverage of Olympic synchronized swimming, you've felt the urge to scream and run out of the room, you're not alone. Unofficial statistics show that more babies have cried and more puppies have wet themselves this week since, well, since this month four years ago during the Beijing Olympics. Synchronized swimmers must use exaggerated facial expressions and over-animated gestures to be seen by judges sitting far away. Unfortunately, when viewed by a super-zoomed, high-definition camera, the effect becomes terrifying, as is demonstrated by this enriched video clip of Canada's Marie-Pier Gagnon Boudreau.
