Newtown kids make us cry singing 'Over the Rainbow' for charity

Want to do a random act of kindness for Newtown kids?  Download this "Over the Rainbow" track. Performed by 21 Sandy Hook students and singer Ingrid Michaelson, it was recorded at the Connecticut home of rockers Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth (remember the Tom Tom Club and the Talking Heads?). On Tuesday, the group belted out the emotional number on "Good Morning America" with 10-year-old Kayla Vergara tugging our heartstrings by telling "GMA" she was singing for Jessica Rekos, her 6-year-old friend killed in the massacre. "Singing the song makes me feel like she’s with me," Vergara said. All the cash the $1.29 song rakes in will go to the United Way of Connecticut and the Newtown Youth Academy.
