Baby barn owls take up residence in the Marriott Hotel

8/12/2012

Six guests without reservations have checked into a Marriott hotel in California. Hint: they have feathers and can turn their necks way farther around than you. The San Francisco Airport Marriott Waterfront reports six baby barn owls have taken up residence on an 11th-floor balcony and, though they don't have a room key, management is letting them stay just the same. In fact, staff members have even come up with adorable names for the owlets: Hoot, Nanny, Peter Townsend, Robert Plant, Hedwig and Archimedes. Guests reportedly love visiting the feathery creatures and the owls' parents stop in each day to check on them. [Source]
