'Lazy' panhandler claims he made $60,000 last year

When Shane Warren Speegle was asked after being scooped up for illegal panhandling in Oklahoma City why he doesn't get a real job, he made the rather astonishing claim that he collected $60,000 last year. It's unlikely Speegle can prove his 2011 gross income, but the arresting officers must have nevertheless felt a twinge of irritation at hearing that a guy sitting at the side of the road was earning more than they were.
