Papa John's mocked as reputation ratings drop post-election

12/5/2012

The Twittersphere appears largely elated over news that Papa John seems to be eating his feisty political words post-election. A market research report at YouGov's BrandIndex suggests the pizza chain's reputation has suffered since the presidential race, when CEO John Schnatter announced he would raise pizza prices and cut employee hours due to Obamacare. On Election Day, PJ's "Buzz score" (which is meant to indicate favorability) was 32. Eight days later, it had dropped to 22 and by the end of November it was down to a measly 4. It's likely a spam lawsuit unveiled between the final two scores was also responsible for the decline. [Source]
