Parkinson's sufferer says he was arrested for not smiling at Olympics
8/9/2012If you have the chance to head over to the U.K. to kick back, relax, and take in some cycling, be sure to look darn pleased about it. A 54-year-old man claims he was arrested in Surrey, in England’s south-east, for "not smiling" while watching the men’s road race. "The man was positioned close to a small group of protesters and based on his manner, his state of dress and his proximity to the course, officers made an arrest to prevent a possible breach of the peace," Surrey police said in a statement. Turns out, the guy has Parkinson’s disease which makes the muscles in his face rigid. He's now demanding a letter of exoneration from the cops that took him in. [Source]
