Parolee tries to scam free flight, gets round-trip to jail
5/31/2012If you've just gotten out of jail, you might feel the urge to skip town and start over -- just don't do what Marc Duncan did. The parolee headed to San Diego International Airport and pretty much booked a trip back to jail after he walked out through an emergency exit, crossed the tarmac and parked himself on a Los Angeles-bound flight. Duncan remained undetected until a flight attendant realized that the plane had too many passengers. He was (re-)arrested after the crew realized he was ticketless. "The guy did breach security, but he was caught," the airport police chief said. "The backup systems were able to catch this guy." Kinda. Sounds like he was snagged by simple math.
Will this lead to increased security procedures?
