Former MLB pitcher Pascual Perez killed in apparent robbery
11/1/2012Pascual Perez, a Major League pitcher who retired from the New York Yankees in 1991, was killed in his home in the Dominican Republic in what police say was a home invasion robbery. There are currently have no suspects in custody, but police say it appears that several assailants ransacked the house. The 55-year-old Perez was discovered with a fractured skull by his ex-wife around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, and authorities say he was likely killed around midnight. Perez played 11 seasons in the big leagues, also pitching for the Atlanta Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates and Montreal Expos, and finished with a career record of 67-68. [Source]
