Pat Robertson questions creationism, urges flock to give science a try

On his show "The 700 Club," evangelist Pat Robertson urged his followers to face facts and drop that whole God-made-the-earth-6,000-years-ago thing. A viewer wrote in concerned her kids won't get into heaven "because they question why the Bible could not explain the existence of dinosaurs." After quipping that his response might see him hang, Robertson told the viewer: "You've got radiocarbon dating … you've got the carcasses of dinosaurs  ... don't try and cover it up and make like everything was 6,000 years … If you fight science, you are going to lose your children, and I believe in telling them the way it was."
