Pat Robertson uses fancy words to explain Petraeus affair

11/13/2012

As we, as a nation, try to wrap our heads around the scandalous affair that has cost CIA Director David Petraeus his job, Pat Robertson is giving us his take on how such a powerful man could make such a poor decision. According to Robertson, it all has to do with propinquity, which, according to this big book collecting dust on our shelf, means "nearness in place or time." So basically, Petraeus and his biographer had an affair because they were just around each other all the time. It also didn't hurt that, as Pat says, she was an "extremely good-lookin' woman" and Petraeus is "a man" after all. Sure, whatever, but either way, thanks for the new vocab word, Pat!
