'McDreamy' just what the doctor ordered for bankrupt coffee chain
12/27/2012After saving countless fictional Seattleites on the operating table, Patrick Dempsey now wants to save a few real ones from the 2 p.m. slump. The "Grey's Anatomy" actor is part of a group of investors looking to purchase Tully's Coffee, a Seattle-based chain that filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in October. Dempsey claims he's planning to spend more time in the city where his series is set and wants to preserve the more than 500 jobs at risk if the company closes. Sounds like a risky operation, saving a longshot caffeine peddler in the heart of Starbucks country. Maybe they should call him "McDreaming." [Source]
