Has Nirvana chosen Paul McCartney to replace Kurt Cobain?
12/12/2012Looks like aging rocker Paul McCartney will be the new Kurt Cobain for a special Nirvana reunion. It's rumored that the former Beatle will front the '90s grunge band at the Superstorm Sandy benefit concert at Madison Square Garden tonight. Macca is expected to join Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl and bassist Krist Novoselic to perform a new song at the charity gig, which also features The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and The Who. After his forgettable performance at the Olympics opening ceremony, we hope the 70-year-old McCartney doesn’t murder an encore of "Smells Like Teen Spirit." [Source]
