Paul Ryan insists he never took stimulus money before admitting he did
8/17/2012Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan voted against President Obama's federal stimulus package, and has made a name for himself over the years for attacking the legislation as a "wasteful spending spree." When it was reported in 2010 that he had taken stimulus funds for companies in his district, he staunchly denied it. He denied the charge again on Thursday in a TV interview in Cincinnati. Hours after, he recalled he had, in fact, written to the government requesting funds after his letters were made public. A pretty impressive about-face, even by a politician’s standards. [Source]
