Pity Paula Broadwell. Actually, you don't have to, because the woman whose affair with David Petraeus and jealous-girlfriend emails brought him down and embarrassed others is feeling sorry enough for herself, thank you very much. A friend of the former CIA director’s biographer-mistress has told the Associated Press that Broadwell is devastated by the fallout over her affair, deeply regrets the damage caused and is trying to put her life back together and move on. The friend also said Broadwell, her husband and kids were warmly welcomed back by neighbors in Charlotte, N.C., after returning home from her brother's Washington home and were grateful for the support.
