Reddit stories of pay-it-forward acts almost made us cry (almost)

11/26/2012

Need your faith in humanity restored after all that Black Friday savagery? Today's hot topic on Reddit is an outbreak of "pay it forward" that's gripping the nation. Lucky Redditor marfalight was treated to a $2 morning coffee at a Starbucks drive-thru by the person ahead of him/her, then told by the thrilled barista he/she was the eighth person in the chain of generosity. Marfalight then paid the $15 tab for the following car. Cue heartwarming Reddit tales of pay-it-forward acts everywhere, from ice cream shops to tollbooths. While good-hearted citizens rejoice in these random acts of kindness, others shamefully admit they've broken the chains, while grinches bemoan the trend for creating "awkward moments." [Source]
