PBS gives 'Reading Rainbow' the remix treatment
12/5/2012Levar Burton fans, prepare to squee: PBS has focused its remix magic on Burton's "Reading Rainbow" show, which for 21 seasons convinced kids worldwide that books were something to celebrate rather than another variation of homework. (Perhaps because books "let you zoom through time and space -- but don't bother packing; you can stay in one place.") It's like a moving scrapbook of Burton's many looks, from chubby-cheeked young guy to his more slim-lined middle-aged years, and as good an ad as you could see for "Reading Rainbow 2.0," Burton's new book-centric app.
