PC school removes 'God' from 'God Bless the U.S.A.'
4/5/2012Politically-correct educators at a Massachusetts elementary school told kids to replace "God bless the U.S.A." with "We love the U.S.A.," infuriating parents, as well as song writer Lee Greenwood. An irked Greenwood said, "The most important word in the whole piece of music is the word God, which is also in the title 'God Bless the USA.'" The outcry initially led Stall Brook Elementary to remove the song completely from an assembly, but the school now says it will in fact allow the song to be sung in full.
Should 'God' be removed from 'God Bless the U.S.A.'?
