Pediatrician charged with 'waterboarding' daughter

8/9/2012

A pediatrician and well-known expert in near-death experiences in children has been arrested for endangering the welfare of a child — his own 11-year-old daughter. Delaware’s Melvin Morse, a published author once interviewed on CNN’s “Larry King Live” about this niche subject, should’ve known better than most people what trauma he was putting his girl through when he allegedly did what she says he called “waterboarding,” basically holding her face under a running faucet so that the water would shoot up her nose. Police say this happened repeatedly over two years and that her mother did nothing (she was arrested, too). It’s not always best to have a doctor in the house. [Source]
