Worst people ever allegedly sell neighbor's lost puppy on Craigslist
9/20/2012It takes a special, super-terrible kind of person to find a moneymaking opportunity in a lost puppy. Scott and Roxanne Duff are apparently those kinds of people. The Leechburg, Pa., couple face multiple charges after allegedly selling their neighbor's lost puppy on Craigslist. Here's what happened, according to police. On Sept. 3, a neighbor's golden retriever and six-month-old Rottweiler puppy showed up at the Duffs' door. They returned the retriever to its owner, but told him the puppy had run away. Suspecting otherwise, the owner called police. The couple denied they had the pup, but after being confronted by the cops, admitted they sold it to a woman in Pittsburgh for $50 (the puppy was eventually returned). Ugh. [Source]
