DIY couple transforms their bedroom floor using pennies
1/22/2013The road to a supercool bedroom is paved with pennies. At least it was for Chicago couple Ryan Lange and Emily Belden. The duo painstakingly glued, grouted and clear-coated 59,670 pennies (heads up) onto the floor of their 380-square foot bedroom in their South Side home, which, yes, they own. They estimate the clothes-ruining, finger-staining work took them 128 hours, fueled by music and pinot noir. The final floor, including pennies both new and glinty and old and grimy, is something to behold. They tracked the project's progress in a video and on their blog. [Source]
