PETA punks the Marlins in its campaign against fishing4/5/2012
The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals aren't usually known for their sense of humor, but they did manage to make a joke at the Miami Marlins' expense. PETA bought a commemorative brick that would be placed inside the team's new stadium, but instead of engraving their mission statement, they went all Highlights magazine and hid a secret message on the brick. The first letters of each word in PETA's statement spell out "Fishinghurts.com," which leads to an anti-angler page on their own website. PETA's beef with the team started in 2010 when the Marlins announced their plans to install giant aquariums behind home plate.
What message would you put on a ballpark brick?
