N.M. senator had secret son with daughter of another senator

Retired New Mexico Senator Pete Domenici announced to the Albuquerque Journal on Wednesday that he fathered a son out of wedlock over 30 years ago with Michelle Laxalt, the daughter of Nevada Senator Paul Laxalt. Apparently, the child was the product of a one-night tryst, so it was kept a secret for 30 years; Domenici and Michelle Laxalt decided to come forward based on suspicions that the story was about to be leaked.
