Alleged thieves' original recipe for robbing jeweler lands them in KFC
1/5/2013Two men who cops say tried to rob an Australian jewelry store on New Year's Eve might not have been the brightest bling in the showcase, but they sure didn't lacked perseverance. Peter Welsh and Dwayne Doolan allegedly tried three times to bust into a Wrights Jewellers shop — first attempting to smash through the front window using spark plugs, then trying to force their way into a back entrance and mistakenly ending up inside an Animal Welfare League Opportunity Shop and then trying to break through the shop wall via a bathroom. Unfortunately, they ended up busting into a KFC, so police say they robbed the safe at the chicken joint instead. Cops ultimately nabbed them, perhaps following an extra-crispy crumb trail. [Source]
