200,000 petition against Target's Thanksgiving day hours

11/14/2012

They might as well just start calling it Black Thursday. More than 200,000 shoppers so far have signed an online petition against Target's decision to open its doors on Thanksgiving — a once verboten practice. The petition was started by Target employee Casey St. Clair of Corona, Calif., who says that when she joined the company six years ago, the store opened for Black Friday shopping at 5 a.m. This year, it will open at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving night. "I want to keep Thanksgiving a day where the stores are closed and everyone gets to spend the day with their families," St. Clair says. [Source]
