Petitioners pledge to eat at Applebee's in 2013 if waitress is rehired

Should the Applebee's waitress who was fired for posting a pic of a customer's receipt get her job back? The eminently qualified team at Huffington Post Comedy definitely thinks so. The group has started a petition to have the server, who has been identified only as Chelsea, reinstated as an employee with the chain. The petition doesn't fault Applebee's for trying to appease an angry customer, but it says the restaurant should stand up for its employees. The group says if Chelsea is rehired, they promise to eat at their local Applebee's at least once in 2013. As of publication, the petition has more than 5,900 signatures. Applebee's, meanwhile, stands by the firing, saying customers deserve privacy and the post violated the company's social media policy. [Source]
