Phenomenal one-armed Little Leaguer throws a no-hitter
5/5/2012Coleman Shannon is a pretty well-rounded kid. The 14-year-old from Johnsonville, S.C., is a star pitcher on his Little League team, and also hunts and plays the guitar. What makes all this remarkable is that Shannon has one arm; he was born with a right arm that extends only as far as the elbow. Not that it has slowed him down at all: He's a leader on the baseball field, with the talent to back up his presence, and on April 24, he pitched a no-hitter. Said his coach Kyle Daniel: "When he went out and threw the no-hitter, it was just a cheerful time for everyone."
