Philly schools busy installing condom dispensers during holiday break
12/25/2012Students at 22 Philadelphia high schools will return from their winter breaks to find a few interesting additions made to their facilities: free condom dispensers installed in the nurses offices. The city's health department is funding the program in schools with the highest known rates of sexually transmitted diseases. Condoms will be available to all students unless their parents opt out of the program, and while some embrace the idea of free condoms because teens are sexually active, others don't. "It's kind of like promoting it, a way of advertising sex," said Marvin Lucero, whose child attends one of the schools. [Source]
