Phillies star pitcher voluntarily trashes his own image
5/4/2012America's top athletes make buckets of money, and then they make buckets more by endorsing products. From sneakers and shirts to clubs and rackets, from bats and balls to masks and gloves, from restaurants to health centers, there's money to be made by putting your name or face on something people desperately want to call their own. And then there's Philadelphia, where people evidently love their garbage. Because why else would the Phillies' star lefthander, Cliff Lee, agree to have his larger-than-life image plastered on garbage trucks throughout the city? Talk about throwing junk pitches!
What’s the weirdest endorsement you’ve ever seen?
