Photos show passengers taking down hijackers
6/30/2012Brave passengers and crew aboard a Chinese airliner successfully thwarted a hijacking attempt just minutes after their plane had taken off, and dramatic pictures of the event have surfaced on a Chinese social networking site. Ten minutes after the flight took off from the western city of Hotan, six men tried to take control of the plane but were overpowered. The photos quickly spread on the site Sina Weibo, a microblogging service similar to Twitter. User seland, who posted the pics, praised the passengers saying, "The strength of the people is the greatest!"
