White House responds to petition to deport Piers Morgan
1/10/2013You might think he'd have much, much more important things to do, but White House Press Secretary Jay Carney has carved out a few minutes to author the official White House response to a petition to deport talk-show host Piers Morgan. That petition, signed by over 100,000 Americans, contends that gun-control advocate Morgan, frequently denounced as a blowhard if less often seen as an actual threat to the nation, is "engaged in a hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment." Carney's response: "Let's not let arguments over the Constitution’s Second Amendment violate the spirit of its First." [Source]
