Pilot kicks family off plane, citing toddler's tantrum
3/9/2012Anyone who has spent a long flight beside a tantrum-throwing toddler knows it can be a distraction, but according to one JetBlue pilot, it's a safety issue, too. After boarding a flight from Turks and Caicos to Boston, two-year-old Natalie Vieau acted out, refusing to sit down in her seat. By the time she was seatbelted in, the pilot had decided to have the entire family removed, JetBooting them "for the safety of all customers and crewmembers," according to a statement from the airline. "We weren't yelling and swearing. My child wasn't running up and down the aisles," Natalie's mother Colette, a pediatrician, said. "We were trying."
