You'll wag your tail at these works by Piper the painting bulldog
10/20/2012Jessica Stone didn't just adopt a pet, she discovered Leonardo dog Vinci. When the Austin, Texas, painter noticed Piper, her rescued one-eyed English bulldog, tagging along to her studio, she sensed a kindred spirit. So she dipped a brush in some paint and held up a piece of paper, and the four-legged Picasso did the rest, chewing and wiggling until, voila, gallery-quality images splashed into creation. Now Piper has sold more than 120 of her paintings, along with assorted shirts and used brushes that help benefit San Antonio Bulldog Rescue, which paired Stone and her protégé. "Her pieces are just so carefree and whimsical, and they amaze me," Stone said.
