Abandoned pit bull mans up to fight terrorism in Kenya

It was kismet. After a dog with distinct olfactory talents and a K-9 trainer found each other, the pup left for dead is now a trained anti-terrorism operative. Binnie the pit bull was abandoned in a warehouse in Greenville, S.C., where dog trainer Michael Bullock found him tied to a wall with wire. After nursing the dog back to health, Bullock says he noticed immediately how well-qualified Binnie was to train as a “sniffer” and started an intensive training regimen with him. Binnie can now sniff out 13 different types of explosives and is heading to Kenya, where he’ll hunt down explosives at airports. Our loss is Africa’s gain. [Source]
