Pizza Hut offers crusts stuffed with cheeseburgers

The U.S. does not have a monopoly on the kind of gut-bomb cuisine that makes us one of the world's fattest countries. Still, leave it to an American company -- Pizza Hut -- to introduce international markets to our brand of Frankenstein food culture. The chain recently stuffed crusts in Britain with hot dogs, and now, it's kicking (the cholesterol) up a notch with "Crown Crust" pizzas in its Middle East franchises. These monstrosities feature crusts with pockets ("crowns") that contain mini-cheeseburgers or chicken nuggets. At least customers in the Middle East are prepared: a previous incarnation of the "Crown Crust" pies featured meatballs and cream cheese.
