Poland serves world's biggest lasagna with peas and carrots
6/21/2012Lasagna in Poland apparently comes topped with peas and carrots. Or at least the world's biggest lasagna does. A Krakow restaurant has set a Guinness World Record with a 15,697-pound lasagna made to honor the Italian soccer team's visit to Poland for Euro 2012. After baking the giant dish for 10 hours, chefs sliced it into 10,000 portions. It was unclear if the team itself would be able to partake. "I don't know about the players or if they will try the [lasagna] because they are on a diet," Trattoria Giancarlo executive chef Giancarlo Russo said. "But they can try just a little bit." Maybe not that piece someone stuck a finger into in the video here.
