Police dog's ashes may have been a SpaceX stowaway

The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, which blasted off May 22 with the ashes of "Star Trek" actor James "Scotty" Doohan, along with astronauts, WWII pilots, aerospace engineers and an 11-year-old boy, may have also carried the ashes of late Monroe, Wash., police dog Bismarck. The canine remains may have stowed away with the ashes of Monroe resident Cleo Morrison, a musician, model, Powder Puff pilot and storied dog lover. Her capsule message included "BISK936" which can be interpreted as Bismarck K-9 and his handler's code -- seemingly confirming Bismarck's company in her capsule. Celestis, Inc., the private company contracted to place Morrison's ashes in orbit, claims no knowledge of transporting dog ashes. Monroe police, though, say they understand they were aboard.
