By 2025, police drones may be pulling you over
11/25/2012"Was I speeding, officer? I mean, 'frightening flying robotic vehicle that just descended from the sky to pull me over?'" That conversation may be in our future if predictions hold true that unmanned aerial drones will replace cop patrol cars by 2025. The Federal Aviation Administration hasn't finalized plans to put the UAVs in U.S. airspace yet, but police departments have been ramping up their requests for the surveillance crafts, and manufacturers like Honda and BMW have already put together prototypes. Some drones, experts say, will able will be able to track and pursue criminals on high-speed chases. This sure seems a lot like the film "Robocop." [Source]
