Philly-area cops break up dogfight by shooting both animals to death

When a stray dog jumped into a parked pickup truck and began fighting with another dog in the back, officers from the Chester (Pa.) Police Department responded in the most sensible way possible: They allegedly pulled their guns and shot the dogs to death. Witnesses say one officer fired five bullets from his pistol and another used a shotgun, killing both animals. The bizarre situation took place just steps from a high school and in front of a crowd of terrified onlookers. "I thought the police … would have some type of procedure for breaking it up other than actually pulling out [their] pistols in front of the high school," one witness said.
