Police recover blind author's 'invisible' book

In a story worthy of a novel, blind author Trish Vickers poured her heart and soul into 26 pages of her first book, only to discover her pen had no ink and the words hadn't shown up. But as any strong, female character would do, the 59-year-old refused to admit defeat. Instead, she and her son contacted the local police department's fingerprinting division. Kind cops worked in their spare time to recover her precious words using light technology to analyze the pen impressions on the blank pages. Even better, her story got a thumbs up. "The police also said they enjoyed the bit they read and can't wait for the rest," she says.
