Poodle’s spirits stay high even though he's two legs down

5/21/2012

Adorable dog Ramen Noodle was born with four legs, but two accidents, a neglectful owner and bones weakened by inbreeding meant that the front pair had to be amputated. While other pet owners might have given up on him, his new adoptive family helped him fight back, and now the teacup poodle has adapted to his injuries. These pictures are from a series of photos featuring "differently abled pets" by photographer Carli Davidson. "I began to wonder more about the lives of these animals and their owners," Davidson writes. "These are people who've opted to keep their animals alive, to change diapers, to buy apparatuses, to put in extra time, money, and effort to make their friends comfortable. I want to show how interesting these animals can be."
