Poorly written law helps creep who abused three-legged dog
6/21/2012Oh Florida, will you ever learn? Eric Antunes, a Clearwater resident, had been busted for possession of child pornography when cops noticed several cell phone pics that showed the sicko engaging in oral sex with his girlfriend's three-legged dog. Although the state recently passed a law officially making bestiality illegal, a gap in its wording will prevent offenders — including Antunes — from being prosecuted for any oral encounters involving animals. "We need to close up this loose loophole," Rick Chaboudy, executive director of the Suncoast Animal League said. Maybe they could name the provision the Eric Antunes Law, forever linking him with his disgusting act. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Should animal abusers face harsher penalties?
